Toronto-based Randy Boots started his burlesque experience with a class and student showcase under the esteemed James and the Giant Pasty in 2019. He was able to perform his first act before one more crowd before the pandemic slightly derailed his journey. During lockdown, he kept his creativity flowing by developing a range of personas and costumes to share with his friends on Instagram.
2023 has been chock full of performances. In February, he restarted his performance run as one of Burlesque Hamilton’s first boylesque acts. Over the spring and summer, he has performed with Cheap Thrills Cabaret throughout Kitchener and Waterloo – including a Burlesque Movie Night and Burlesque Bingo Night. Most recently, he performed to a packed house at the Saskatoon International Burlesque Festival with acts from across Canada and the US.
