Performer applications – Open for 2024.

The Saskatoon International Burlesque Festival is inviting applications from performers to join us in our third year at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon, SK Sept 19-22 2024.  Click the buttons below for application forms: Please note that application fees are non-refundable and that performer offers may be extended to the next year should we need to cancel or postpone the festival for any reason.

About the festival:

The SIBF aims to produce a top quality 4 day professional Burlesque Festival. The festival will include but not be limited to 2 showcases and a day of professional development workshops.

Inclusivity:

The SIBF’s goal is to include, whenever possible a wide variety of performers including people of colour, first nations people, people of all genders and variations, performers of variety of ages, sizes,  backgrounds, beliefs and sexual orientations.  We will provide a safe space for artistic expression and performance and training opportunities.  Everyone is welcome to participate in our creative, artistic and body positive festival.

Application fee:

The Early Bird application fee paid before February 28 for one act is $10.  Groups may also apply to present an act at the same application fee. Performers are permitted to apply for more than one act however, each application must be submitted separately. After Feb 28 2023 the application fee is $15 per act.

No application fee is required for Stage Kittens!

Artist fees:

SIBF will guarantee a minimum of $50 performance fee to each soloist or each group who is accepted into the festival. The performance fee will be paid out at the end of the festival. Artists also receive a festival pass to attend all events.

SIBF will contract 2 Headliners for the festival under a separate contract. If you would like to be considered for this position please contact us at yxesibf@gmail.com with your details including a current resume/CV, Biography, Headshot, along with a link to performances and websites.

Travel costs and accommodation:

SIBF will not be responsible for covering travel costs for performers. We are happy to provide letters of invitation to those of you considering applying for travel funding from your local arts organization. SIBF will endeavour to provide pick up and drop off service at the Saskatoon Airport YXE for visiting performers.

SIBF will endeavour to find appropriate billets for performers upon request and provide details on local hotel festival discount rates.
